| Bloodline Name/Surname: Aburame Clan Classification: Clan Kekkei Genkai: none Special Insignia: N/A Village: Konohagakure Elements: none Clan History: The Aburame clan (油女一族, Aburame Ichizoku) is a clan characterized by their use of insects as weapons. The insects live in symbiosis within the body of the shinobi. At birth, members of this clan are offered to a special breed of insects called kikaichū as a nest, residing just under their host's skin. The insects can leave and enter through various pores, apparently by eating their way through the skin. They feed on chakra as a food source, making them quite deadly. The relationship between the shinobi and the insects is mutually beneficial. The host grants the bugs shelter and allows them to feed off their chakra, their body becoming a living hive of tens of thousands of these bugs, and in return the bugs do the user's bidding, allowing the shinobi to perform ninjutsu-like techniques without the use of hand seals or chakra conversion. A female bug can be left on a target, which then can be tracked by smell by the male bug, or scout bugs can be sent out and return to tell the host information about the area. For this reason, Aburame clan members are experts in espionage; they can communicate with the bugs, and the bugs specialize in stealth because they make no noise or motion during combat. In addition to utilizing insects in battle, the Aburame clan also studies insects. A major defining trait of the Aburame clan is that all of its known members wear dark sunglasses that hide their eyes as well as jackets that cover part of their face. Even though their bug-related techniques are known only amongst the clan, they possess a special type of bug that is rare even among the clan's members. Jutsu: Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hidden Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: N/A Description: The Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique is a practice exclusive to the Aburame clan. When children are born into the clan, their bodies are offered to insects to be used as a nest. Over the years, as the child grows up, they are instructed in the secret techniques of the clan, and learn how the insects may serve them in combat. Most Aburame are inhabited by kikaichū, but some members of the clan instead have nano-sized, venomous insects, a rare type of insect even within the Aburame clan.
A - Spoiler:
Jutsu: Secret Technique: Insect Cocoon Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hidden Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: close Description: This unique technique allows the user to accelerate the speed of their insects' development. As the user's body is already a hive of sorts for the insects, the user will encase themselves in an actual cocoon to further aid the insects. This is an extremely useful move for Aburame clan members, since their attacks mainly focus on the usage of bugs. However, using this in the midst of a battle can be potentially dangerous as it leaves the user static and vulnerable.
B - Spoiler:
Jutsu: Insect Jamming Technique Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hidden Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: long Description: The user utilises a large amount of their Kikaichū and has them spread over a wide area around the user. The bugs then emit a small amount of the their host's respective chakra that they usually feed on. This confuses sensor-type ninjas' chakra-sensing ability, as the insects' irregular distribution and large grouping of the bugs result in the creation of numerous 'false images', making it more difficult to distinguish the user's actual location.
Jutsu:Insect Jar Technique Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hidden Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: mid Description: This technique uses kikaichū as a shield by having them fly in a dome shape at high speed, similar to the Hyūga's Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven after the user ends the hand signs. The dome is strong enough to destroy incoming attacks, but can be disrupted with sufficient explosive force.
Jutsu: Secret Technique: Insect Sphere Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Chakra Absorption Technique Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: all Description: This technique covers the enemy's entire body with the kikaichū living inside the Aburame clan member's body. The chakra sensing Kikaichū spread over a wide range. The moment they locate the enemy, the insects, following the user's orders, gather at once. The insects completely surround the target, making a globe. They restrain the enemy and start eating away at their chakra bit by bit. Before long, death will arrive. Even if the target manages to escape, the insects will immediately follow them.
Jutsu: Spindle Formation Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hidden Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: close-mid Description: The user has his bugs attack the target in a spiralling motion in order to stop the enemy from retaliating.
Jutsu: Human Cocoon Technique Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hidden Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: close Description: The user creates a cocoon around themselves most likely to spy or hide from the enemy. The user can also use the cocoon as a "sleeping bag". The cocoon is waterproof.
C - Spoiler:
Jutsu: Secret Technique: Insect Gathering Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hidden Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: close Description: By simply touching a surface with their palm and fingers, the user releases a small web of chakra that draws bugs to that location. Since Aburame shinobi can communicate with insects, it can be useful to gain information by gathering local insects.
Jutsu: Insect Clone Technique Type: Ninjutsu Sub-Type: Hiddden, Clone Techniques Elemental Affinity: N/A Range: A secret technique exclusive to the Aburame clan, where thousands of kikaichū are gathered in one place to take on the appearance of the user or anyone else the user wishes. The technique is elaborate enough to be mistaken for the original, and therefore may be used as a decoy or as part of a diversionary tactic. Furthermore, since one can put the insects in standby somewhere beforehand and then have them assume the form of the clone, this technique is arguably even more effective than the Shadow Clone Technique, depending on the task. The clone falls apart into its component bugs when struck. Because it's made of bugs, it can reform almost instantly.
