Personality- Normally Vaan is a kindhearted teenager who wants to live with a maid harem. However on missions he is very coldhearted with a murderous aurora around him which causes people to avoid him. He also is able to keep his emotions in check when fighting enemies.

Description:A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones will dissipate when they come into contact with something. These clones can be easily distinguished by persons with dōjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).

Description:This technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed.[2] To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. Shisui Uchiha was feared as "Shisui of the Body Flicker" (瞬身のシスイ, Shunshin no Shisui), likely referring to this technique.

Description:With this technique, one replaces their own body with a block of wood or some other object, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.

General History
During the great return of a small faction from the Sarutobi Vaan was forced to leave everything he ever knew at the tender age of 6. It was when he arrived he was forced to join the ANBU as a means of appeasing the leaf village heads. He and several other young Sarutobi's were transported from the leaf into the land of iron where they were trained to be the best under a new, strict training regiment that barely any ninja could survive. A good portion of the candidates from the village died after the first months of the 3 year program, including some of the Sarutobi's.
At the end of the training, out of the 40 only 5 survived, which included Vaan. However, for the final test they were pitted against each other, until one was left.
"
Congratulations, young one! Your the last of them, Good jor" said the trainer.
"
.....good job? I JUST KILLED MY FRIENDS AND ALL YOU CAN TELL ME IS......... 'good job!' F- THAT CRAP YOU BASTARD!!!" said Vaan as he rushed the trainer with murderous eyes before he was struck down by a random shadow.
And with that, Vaan was the only survivor of the training program. When he returnked to the village he recieved mixed responses, some of praise and some of hatred and contempt. Vaan was only 10.
After 2 years of working with the ANBU Vaan began to realise that his friends were lucky to have died that to live this terrible fate and began to envy them. However he still knew they had a dream and he would live through himself. Soon Vaan began to remember his old personality and made a promise with himself that he would be the best for his clan's sake.
Years passed as Vaan continued working tirelessly for the ANBU where the heads soon decided that he would not be a burden and allowed him to become a special jounin for all his hard work for the ANBU. Instead of working with a team Vaan quickly moved up the ranks as he was seen as a new hope for the ever expanding leaf village. At the age of 30 Vaan became the Second in Command for his village and was soon to move on further.
After years of servicing the ANBU as well as helping the jounins and the village the heads soon recognised that Vaan was fit to be a representative for the village and was turned into a Sannin of the leaf. He soon went on a soul searching journey to find his inner self while at the same time spying for the leaf. With great honour for his new found glory that sets off with his village's pride on his heart.
